Is there a Baja Blast pre-workout?
Baja Blast is a Mountain Dew beverage name. A search for “Baja Blast pre-workout” does not identify one verified supplement formula. The manufacturer product we could verify is REDCON1 TOTAL WAR in Baja Bomb flavor. Its packaging says Baja Bomb. The sources checked did not establish an official Mountain Dew-licensed Baja Blast pre-workout, and similar flavor descriptions are not proof of a licensing agreement.
What is in TOTAL WAR Baja Bomb?
The manufacturer’s Baja Bomb panel specifies a 14.4 g scoop and 30 servings. Selected amounts per scoop are:
- Citrulline malate, 2:1: 6 g
- Beta-alanine: 3.2 g
- Agmatine sulfate and taurine: 1 g each
- Caffeine anhydrous: 250 mg
- Di-caffeine malate: 100 mg, explicitly providing 70 mg caffeine
- Theobromine: 50 mg
That gives 320 mg caffeine, not 350 mg. The larger number adds the full weight of the caffeine-containing ingredients, including malate. Likewise, 6 g citrulline malate is not 6 g pure L-citrulline. Check your own container because serving weights and formulas can change.
How it differs from the soda
PepsiCo’s facts for regular Mountain Dew Baja Blast list 98 mg caffeine per 20 fl oz bottle. That figure belongs to that beverage and package size, not to TOTAL WAR powder or every Baja-branded drink. The supplement and soda are different products, even if a shopper is seeking a similar flavor.
Do not use caffeinated soda as a way to intensify a pre-workout. Adding that entire 20 fl oz bottle to a 320 mg serving would total 418 mg caffeine before other drinks or supplements. Water avoids that extra caffeine.
What to check before buying
- Read the actual manufacturer, product and flavor printed on the tub.
- Ask for a legible Supplement Facts image if a seller uses the name Baja Blast loosely.
- Compare caffeine per serving, rather than choosing by color, fruit artwork or a claimed flavor resemblance.
The FDA’s 400 mg daily reference for most adults is not a recommended workout dose or a guarantee of individual safety. This is a label guide; it does not establish that Baja Bomb tastes identical to Baja Blast.
