Colostrum Is Not a Typical Gym Supplement

Bovine colostrum contains immunoglobulins, growth factors and proteins, which is why it is marketed for gut integrity, immune support and recovery.

What the Exercise Studies Actually Measured

A small placebo-controlled crossover trial in 12 volunteers found a smaller exercise-associated rise in an intestinal-permeability measure after colostrum supplementation. A different randomized running-training trial reported increased permeability rather than the expected reduction. Different protocols, doses and measurements make a universal benefit claim inappropriate.

These studies concern particular laboratory outcomes. They do not establish that every retail colostrum powder improves digestion, prevents illness or produces visible training gains.

The existing Bucked Up sample-kit link is a separate shopping offer. It does not establish that colostrum is included, and its current contents and terms should be checked on the destination page.

Do Not Expect Creatine-Like Results

This article does not establish a strength or recovery advantage for a particular colostrum product. Start with adequate nutrition and a suitable training plan rather than assuming a wellness claim is equivalent to demonstrated performance improvement.

Product and Allergy Checks

Bovine colostrum is milk-derived. Check the allergen statement and avoid it if you have a cow’s-milk protein allergy unless your clinician specifically advises otherwise. A lactose-related claim is not the same as being free of milk proteins.

Look for a clearly identified manufacturer, serving amount, storage instructions and testing information. Study doses are not automatic instructions for a different commercial product. Ask a qualified clinician about persistent gastrointestinal symptoms rather than using a supplement to self-diagnose or treat them. No exact Bucked Up colostrum product or product photo has been verified for this article.
