What a Custom Pre Workout Actually Means
A custom pre-workout doesn’t have to mean buying ten raw powders. The practical approach is to choose a solid base, identify what it’s missing for your training, and add only what solves that problem.

Build Around the Goal
- Energy: choose your caffeine level first. Don’t blindly stack multiple stimulant products.
- Pump: prioritize citrulline and/or glycerol.
- Strength: creatine monohydrate is a daily staple; timing it immediately pre-workout is not required.
- Muscular endurance: beta-alanine works through regular use and increasing muscle carnosine, not because the tingles mean it is “kicking in.”
- Late-night training: build around a stimulant-free pump formula.
Easy Bucked Up Custom Stack
Bucked Up Original is a straightforward base: 6 g citrulline malate 2:1, 2 g beta-alanine, 200 mg caffeine and 200 mg AlphaSize® Alpha-GPC 50%.
For a simple strength addition, Bucked Up Creatine Monohydrate supplies 5 g creatine monohydrate. For more pump without more caffeine, PUMP-OCALYPSE is caffeine-free and adds 3.5 g HydroPrime® glycerol plus 3 g L-citrulline.
What Not to Do
Don’t stack products just because the labels look different. Add up caffeine and overlapping actives first. More ingredients are not automatically better, and high-stim formulas deserve particular caution if you already use coffee, energy drinks or other stimulant supplements.
Best Rule for Customizing
Change one variable at a time. If you add three products at once, you won’t know which ingredient improved the session—or which one caused a problem.
