Legion’s non-stim pre-workout is Pulse Stim-Free, a specific caffeine-free product in the Pulse range. If your goal is to avoid caffeine, check that exact name on the tub and order confirmation. The regular Pulse formula and other Pulse variants should not be treated as interchangeable.
What is in Pulse Stim-Free?
The manufacturer’s ingredient page lists these amounts per full serving:
- 8 g citrulline malate
- 3.6 g beta-alanine
- 2.5 g betaine
- 300 mg alpha-GPC ingredient, identified in the detailed description as alpha-GPC 50%
- No caffeine
Keep the ingredient forms attached to their amounts. Eight grams of citrulline malate should not be presented as eight grams of pure L-citrulline. Likewise, the alpha-GPC percentage matters when comparing labels that use different ingredient concentrations. Match the serving size printed on the container rather than assuming every brand’s scoop measures the same quantity.
How does it differ from regular Pulse?
The clearest difference is caffeine. Regular Pulse supplies 350 mg in its full two-scoop serving. A half serving of a caffeinated formula is still caffeinated; Pulse Stim-Free is the relevant option when avoiding caffeine altogether.
Do not equate stimulant-free with tingle-free. Pulse Stim-Free still contains beta-alanine. NIH’s supplement guidance notes that beta-alanine can cause tingling and that performance studies generally evaluate repeated use over weeks. A strong sensation after drinking it is not a useful score for workout quality.
How to compare it with another non-stim formula
Make the comparison at the serving you actually intend to use. A tub advertised as offering twice as many servings may simply count a smaller portion. Divide the delivered price by the number of those portions, then compare ingredients and quantities side by side.
- Confirm the precise product and formula version.
- Compare caffeine status and beta-alanine separately.
- Read the flavor-specific sweetener and allergen information.
- Count ingredients already supplied by your other supplements.
- Check the package directions and warnings before combining products.
This same checklist applies when considering a Bucked Up non-stim alternative. A shared category does not establish identical ingredients, equivalent results, or a reason to buy two products together.
Bottom line
Pulse Stim-Free is worth comparing when caffeine avoidance is the priority and you want its particular ingredient combination. Choose based on the current label, serving cost, and compatibility with your routine. Judge usefulness by your training log and how you tolerate the product, rather than by tingling or the length of the ingredient list.
