X-CITE: check the exact flavor and label
ATHLEAN-RX X-CITE is a named pre-workout containing caffeine, creatine HCl and several other ingredients. This review uses the manufacturer’s Fresh Squeezed Orange panel checked on October 12, 2026 (America/Chicago). Its serving is approximately one 20.21 g scoop, with 22 servings per container. Other flavors have their own panels, so a scoop weight from another flavor should not replace this one.
What the Orange panel actually lists
The flavor-specific Supplement Facts declare these amounts per serving:
- 200 mg caffeine anhydrous.
- 6 g L-citrulline malate and 3.2 g CarnoSyn beta-alanine.
- 2 g CON-CRET creatine HCl.
- 1.5 g L-tyrosine and 1.25 g betaine anhydrous.
- 1.08 g inulin, 1 g taurine and a 500 mg electrolyte complex.
- 400 mg choline, plus vitamins and minerals.
Ingredient forms matter. Citrulline malate includes malate, so its 6 g should not be presented as 6 g pure L-citrulline. The electrolyte complex is not 500 mg sodium: sodium is separately declared at 95 mg, alongside 94 mg potassium and 6.4 mg manganese. Those mineral entries describe the formula rather than extra ingredients to add again.
What the NSF listing confirms
The NSF Certified for Sport directory entry for Fresh Squeezed Orange lists this U.S. product, the matching 20.21 g serving, and lots 2604121, 2310193 and 2507018. That is more useful than relying on a badge in an old comparison graphic. Match your flavor and lot against the live directory before purchase or competition; this check does not extend certification to every product or future batch.
Certification also does not establish that X-CITE produces greater strength gains than another pre-workout. Nor does a longer ingredient list establish superiority. NIH’s exercise-supplement review explains why ingredient evidence and evidence for a finished combination need separate consideration.
A fair comparison with alternatives
Compare total caffeine, ingredient forms, the portion you would actually use and final cost per usable serving. A larger number beside another form of creatine is not, by itself, proof of better results. There is no basis here for calling Black Ant, Bucked Up Original or X-CITE the universal winner.
X-CITE’s marketing promises about avoiding jitters or crashes should not be treated as guarantees. Adding water changes concentration, not the caffeine in the powder consumed. Read the complete tub directions and warnings; its panel also identifies a facility that processes peanuts, eggs, wheat and milk. This is a sourced label review, without a personal taste test or independent laboratory analysis.
