Axe & Sledge Seventh Gear is a specific high-stimulant pre-workout with more than one historical formula. Its name does not mean a generic “seventh level” of workout intensity. The most useful starting point is the version and Supplement Facts panel on the actual tub.
What changed in Seventh Gear V2?
Axe & Sledge’s August 2022 V2 announcement explains that the brand increased betaine, choline bitartrate and Alpha-GPC, while replacing Creatine MagnaPower with ElevATP. The announcement describes a transition between 60-serving and 30-serving labels. Its listed full-formula amounts apply to two scoops, approximately 10 grams, on the specified 60-serving format.
- Beta-alanine: 3.2 grams.
- Betaine anhydrous: 2.5 grams.
- Caffeine anhydrous: 350 milligrams.
- Infinergy: 50 milligrams, yielding another 37.5 milligrams of caffeine.
- TeaCrine: 100 milligrams, a separate stimulant ingredient rather than additional caffeine.
That example supplies approximately 387.5 milligrams of caffeine. Do not add the entire Infinergy ingredient weight as caffeine, or treat a headline stimulant-blend weight as the caffeine total. Nor should you automatically take two scoops of a differently labeled tub.
Older reviews and artwork need context
The original 2019 launch discussion included Creatine MagnaPower, which helps explain why older reviews describe a different ingredient list. Our Whiskey & Cola group photo is historical artwork: Seventh Gear appears beside Hydraulic and The Grind. It documents the product, not today’s inventory.
The official pre-workout collection checked in October 2026 did not list Seventh Gear among its six displayed products. That does not establish worldwide discontinuation. Before buying remaining stock, ask for the exact label, lot information, expiration date and condition of the safety seal. A seller’s reused launch image is insufficient.
How to judge a high-stim option
Compare the caffeine and other stimulants at the serving you intend to use, then consider whether that fits your training time and tolerance. Nearly 388 milligrams is a substantial amount before counting other daily caffeine. FDA’s 400-milligram daily reference for most adults is not a target or a guarantee of safety. Follow the actual label, avoid stimulant stacking and seek medical advice about conditions or medicines.
