C4 Ripped is not C4 Ripped Sport

Cellucor’s C4 Ripped page identifies a specific pre-workout powder with 150 mg caffeine per serving. Its description names CarnoSyn beta-alanine and Capsimax, a cayenne-derived ingredient. Those facts should not be replaced with the formula for another C4 product merely because both tubs are yellow.

  • C4 Ripped: the inspected manufacturer page states 150 mg caffeine.
  • C4 Ripped Sport: a separate product whose manufacturer page states 135 mg caffeine.
  • Current C4 Original: the inspected page states 200 mg caffeine. Older Original descriptions can refer to earlier formulas.

Check the full name, serving size and label on the tub being sold. A comparison that mixes generations or substitutes Ripped Sport for Ripped can give the wrong caffeine amount before it even reaches the other ingredients.

What “ripped” does and does not tell you

Cellucor markets Ripped for energy and weight-management support. That positioning is not proof that the complete formula produces a particular amount of fat loss. Feeling warmer or sweating more does not measure a change in body fat.

NIH’s weight-loss supplement review describes limited or inconsistent evidence for many marketed ingredients and the difficulty of evaluating combinations. Ingredient research must match the dose, population and outcome being discussed. A product name, patented ingredient or positive customer review does not bridge those gaps.

Compare the linked alternatives by format

Buck Naked is a capsule-based weight-management supplement rather than another C4-style powder. The manufacturer lists 150 mg paraxanthine per three-capsule serving. Although it is marketed as caffeine-free, that does not make it stimulant-free or appropriate for bedtime.

The Buck Naked directions and label specifically include a six-hour bedtime restriction. Claims of guaranteed calm energy or superior fat loss would go beyond what this comparison establishes.

LFG Burn is a pre-workout powder whose manufacturer lists 300 mg total caffeine, 3.2 g beta-alanine and 1.5 g Nitrosigine per serving. Its caffeine amount is twice C4 Ripped’s stated 150 mg, which is a dose difference rather than evidence of better results.

Review the LFG Burn product information separately. These products are alternatives to evaluate, not a recommended stack, and no head-to-head performance or weight-loss test is reported here.

Use and purchase checks

C4 Ripped’s directions specify one scoop with 6 fl oz water, 20–30 minutes before training. Follow the actual package, including its adult-use, pregnancy and nursing restrictions. The manufacturer warns against combining it with caffeine or stimulants from other sources and advises medical consultation for relevant conditions or medications.
