C4 Ultimate is Cellucor’s high-stimulant pre-workout powder, and the generation matters. This guide uses the fifth-generation Frozen Bombsicle panel displayed on Cellucor’s current U.S. product page. C4 Original, Ultimate Strength, Ultimate Shred and canned Ultimate Energy are separate products; their ingredient amounts should not be substituted for this powder.
What the fifth-generation label contains
The pictured serving is 20 grams, approximately one level scoop, with 20 servings per container. Its listed ingredients include:
- 300 milligrams caffeine anhydrous, plus 50 milligrams Dynamine and 10 milligrams TeaCrine.
- 3.2 grams CarnoSyn beta-alanine.
- A Velox combination of 3 grams L-citrulline and 3 grams L-arginine.
- 1.25 grams betaine and 200 milligrams PeptiPump lentil peptides.
- 1.5 grams creatine nitrate and 1 gram L-tyrosine.
The panel also lists huperzia extract and Rauwolfia vomitoria root-bark extract. This makes the full stimulant and ingredient profile relevant, beyond the prominent caffeine number. The 1.5-gram creatine-nitrate entry is not equivalent to 1.5 grams of plain creatine monohydrate.
Why an older C4 review may disagree
Cellucor retains an older Ultimate page describing a different formula centered on dual-source caffeine, citrulline nitrate and dual creatines. Both versions can show 300 milligrams of caffeine while differing elsewhere. A matching product name or caffeine amount therefore does not establish a matching formula. Packaging, market and flavor-specific panels deserve a direct comparison.
When checking an online listing, look for a legible rear label as well as the front image. Match serving weight, ingredient amounts and generation wording. Use the directions on the purchased container rather than importing scoop instructions from a review of a previous edition.
Performance claims and practical cautions
Beta-alanine’s studied use involves repeated supplementation; tingling is not a measurement of workout quality. Research on an individual ingredient also does not prove that a finished multi-ingredient formula will work the same for everyone.
Cellucor warns against combining this product with other caffeine or stimulants. Follow its medication and health warnings, and do not use during pregnancy or nursing. A high-stim formula is a poor fit when it disrupts sleep or causes adverse effects. More stimulation should not be the goal of a comparison.
