LIT energy drink usually refers to Beyond Raw LIT On-The-Go, the canned pre-workout. The version matters: GNC announced a reformulated LIT OTG V2 in July 2026. This guide uses its U.S. Gummy Shark 16 fl oz can, rather than transferring a powder formula or an older can’s ingredient list to the new drink.
What is in the current LIT OTG V2 can?
The selected GNC listing gives these amounts per one 16 fl oz can:
- Caffeine from green coffee bean: 250 mg.
- L-citrulline: 5 g.
- Beta-alanine: 3.2 g.
- Citicoline, as Cognizin: 250 mg.
- Senactiv: 50 mg.
- AstraGin: 50 mg.
The Gummy Shark panel also lists 30 calories, 4 g carbohydrate, zero sugar, 130 mg sodium and 40 mg potassium. It contains sucralose. Creatine is not listed on this V2 can’s panel. Check your actual flavor and regional package before using these numbers.
Why older LIT descriptions can be misleading
“LIT,” “LIT V2,” “LIT AF” and “On-The-Go” should not be treated as interchangeable names. A powder has a scoop size; this drink has a can serving. GNC’s page also carries older comparison graphics, so the selected V2 ingredient panel is the appropriate reference for the V2 can pictured here.
When buying, check the exact product name on the container, the style/version selected in the listing, and the Supplement Facts panel together. A familiar flavor name alone cannot establish which formula is inside. If an older can has different ingredients, use that can’s directions rather than combining details from several versions.
What the ingredients can and cannot tell you
Caffeine can increase alertness, but a stimulating feeling is not proof of better training. Beta-alanine’s studied effects involve repeated use; immediate tingling is not evidence of muscle growth. Evidence for citrulline’s exercise benefits remains mixed. Ingredient research also does not establish that this exact finished drink produces every advertised benefit.
Using a canned pre-workout thoughtfully
The can already supplies a substantial caffeine amount. Count coffee, other energy drinks and supplements before deciding whether it fits your day. Avoid combining it with another caffeinated pre-workout. “Natural caffeine” is still caffeine, and a zero-sugar label does not make a stimulant suitable for everyone.
Follow the package limit and keep use well away from bedtime. If you are caffeine-sensitive, train late, take medicines, or have a medical condition, discuss suitability with a clinician rather than trying to overcome side effects. Energy drinks are not appropriate for children or teens; pregnancy and breastfeeding require separate caffeine advice.

Choose LIT OTG V2 for the convenience of a specifically labeled canned formula, if its caffeine and ingredients suit you. Compare the can’s actual serving with other drinks or powders, and leave the workout result to judge over time rather than expecting a guaranteed pump, focus boost or recovery effect.
