Start with the specific Gold Standard formula
Optimum Nutrition’s current US Gold Standard Pre-Workout page lists 175 mg caffeine, 3 g creatine monohydrate and 1.6 g beta-alanine per serving, with 30 servings per container. These figures describe that US product, not every international or Advanced version.
The manufacturer’s directions specify one scoop in 6–8 fl oz cold water, 15–30 minutes before exercise. Follow the label on your own tub and its warnings; this is a description of manufacturer instructions, not an individualized dosing plan.
Compare without assuming a stronger stimulant is better
Choose based on caffeine tolerance, training time, ingredient preferences and price per serving. A higher-caffeine alternative is a different trade-off, not an automatic upgrade. Do not stack two caffeinated pre-workouts.
Count ingredients you already take
The US formula already contains creatine. Include that amount when assessing your whole supplement routine instead of automatically adding a second creatine serving. Beta-alanine tingling should not be used to decide whether a product is working.
