C4 Extreme Energy needs a version-specific answer

C4 Extreme Energy is a named Cellucor pre-workout with historical labels. It should not be treated as interchangeable with every C4 product described as providing “extreme energy.” Similar names in this range can conceal materially different ingredients and serving sizes.

A useful primary record is the manufacturer’s Cherry Limeade label preserved in the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database. The entry was added on January 25, 2018. It documents a particular package, not a guarantee of the formula or availability of products sold today.

What the archived Extreme Energy label says

The recorded container holds 50 servings, with one 9 g scoop per serving. Its panel lists 3.2 g CarnoSyn beta-alanine, 1 g creatine nitrate and 1 g arginine alpha-ketoglutarate. The 831 mg C4 Extreme Energy Blend explicitly includes 300 mg caffeine anhydrous.

Other ingredients within that blend include N-acetyl-L-tyrosine, velvet bean extract, TeaCrine, Rauwolfia vomitoria extract and huperzine A. Their individual quantities are not disclosed on this panel. The blend’s total is not a caffeine total, and it cannot be divided into assumed doses for its remaining ingredients.

How C4 Extreme differs

Cellucor’s separate C4 Extreme product page describes 200 mg caffeine and 2 g beta-alanine, alongside creatine nitrate and citrulline nitrate. These figures are different from the archived Extreme Energy example. Importing them into an Extreme Energy article would create a formula that matches neither label.

The distinguishing evidence is the complete name, ingredient panel and package version, rather than a black-and-yellow color scheme. Likewise, an energy drink should not inherit the quantities from a powder with similar branding.

A practical identification checklist

  • Read every word after “C4” on the container.
  • Match the flavor, scoop weight and serving count.
  • Separate disclosed ingredient doses from proprietary-blend totals.
  • Check the physical label, seal and date markings before relying on an older listing.

The historical Extreme Energy label warns against combining it with caffeine or stimulants from other sources and limits the product to healthy adults aged 18 or older. Read the complete warnings for the actual product.

This article explains a documented historical formula. It does not claim the product is currently in stock, recommend an old container, or rank its effects against newer C4 products.
