C4 Ultimate Pre-Workout: Current Formula and Version Differences

Identify the C4 Ultimate powder first

C4 Ultimate is part of Cellucor’s pre-workout range. This review concerns the 20-serving powder shown on the manufacturer’s current U.S. product page. Ultimate-branded ready-to-drink products and older powder formulas need their own labels; the shared name does not make them interchangeable.

What the reviewed label contains

The manufacturer’s Frozen Bombsicle panel specifies one 20 g scoop. It lists 300 mg caffeine anhydrous, 50 mg Dynamine and 10 mg TeaCrine, alongside other ingredients. Those are separate compounds; the caffeine declaration should not be rewritten by adding their weights together.

The same panel lists 3.2 g CarnoSyn beta-alanine, 1.25 g betaine anhydrous, 200 mg PeptiPump lentil peptides and 1.5 g creatine nitrate. Its Velox blend contains 3 g L-citrulline and 3 g L-arginine. Calling that “6 g citrulline” would misstate the formula.

The ingredient list also includes L-tyrosine, huperzia extract, Rauwolfia vomitoria extract and electrolytes. Check the entire panel rather than relying only on the three ingredients emphasized in the energy marketing.

Why older descriptions can disagree

Cellucor’s older Ultimate product page describes a previous formulation built around dual-source caffeine, citrulline nitrate and dual creatines, with different flavor and dye positioning. Those historical details should not be combined with the current Velox-and-PeptiPump label.

A review can accurately describe its own tub yet be a poor guide to another generation. When comparing reviews or retailer listings, match the package generation, flavor, serving weight and ingredient forms. The phrase “300 mg caffeine” alone is not enough to establish that two versions are identical.

How to compare without overstating results

  • Use the quantities for the complete labeled serving.
  • Preserve distinctions between L-citrulline, L-arginine and nitrate compounds.
  • Compare all active ingredients, not caffeine alone.
  • Read the exact product’s directions and warnings before use.

The current manufacturer page warns against combining this product with caffeine or stimulants from other sources. It also sets age and health-related restrictions that should be read in full rather than replaced with a generic “start low” suggestion.

This is a label-based comparison, not a personal workout or flavor test. The strongest purchasing conclusion is to verify the formula in front of you; ingredient names and marketing claims do not independently establish superior results.
