Headstrong pre workout is a named Vitasport supplement sold by Nutrishop. It is not simply a nickname for any focus-heavy formula. The important shopping distinction is between original Headstrong and Headstrong 175: their similar packaging does not mean they deliver the same stimulant exposure.
Original Headstrong: read the caffeine warning
The original product page lists 375 mg caffeine per serving. It also highlights 6 g citrulline malate, 3.2 g beta-alanine, 2 g NO3-T nitrate technology and a 1.3 g nootropic blend. Its 780 mg high-energy blend is the weight of a mixture, not a claim that the product contains 780 mg caffeine.
That distinction matters whenever a label has several blends. A prominent blend total can describe multiple ingredients, while a warning elsewhere supplies the caffeine amount. Read both sections rather than making a dose calculation from the front of the tub.
What changes with Headstrong 175?
Headstrong 175 lists 175 mg caffeine and is marketed without additional stimulants. It retains the same headline citrulline-malate, beta-alanine, nitrate-technology and nootropic-blend quantities. The lower caffeine number makes it a different comparison, but it is still caffeinated. A name containing “175” should not be mistaken for a caffeine-free or automatically sleep-friendly option.
Important label restrictions
Nutrishop’s warnings exclude use with nitrate medication for chest pain, erectile-dysfunction medication such as PDE-5 inhibitors, and other nitrate-containing supplements. Both versions carry adult-use restrictions and advise medical review for medications or health conditions. These warnings deserve more attention than a promise of sharper focus.
The NIH supplement guide also cautions that multi-ingredient performance products can interact with medicines. Do not treat a smaller portion as a way around a label contraindication.
A useful comparison checklist
When comparing Headstrong with another brand, match full-serving caffeine, disclosed ingredients and warnings first. Next compare the price for the serving you actually intend to use.
