Hooligan is a named pre-workout from Apollon Nutrition. It is not a general category of high-stimulant supplements. Different Hooligan releases have appeared over time, so the edition and Supplement Facts matter more than the shared product name.
The manufacturer is signaling a formula change
At review, Apollon’s Hooligan Extreme page was titled “New Formula Coming Soon.” The figures below describe the panel displayed with that listing, not an announced replacement formula. A future release needs a fresh label check before these amounts can be applied to it.
Read both serving columns
The displayed label has half-scoop and full-scoop columns: approximately 20.45 g and 40.9 g, yielding 40 or 20 servings. The full scoop lists 10 g L-citrulline, 6.4 g beta-alanine, 5 g betaine, 4.2 g arginine nitrate, and 3 g each of taurine and L-tyrosine.
Caffeine needs particular attention. The full scoop lists 350 mg caffeine anhydrous plus 200 mg dicaffeine malate, stated to yield 150 mg caffeine. That totals 500 mg caffeine; it is not 550 mg. The half-scoop amounts imply 250 mg total. Theobromine is listed separately and should not be added to the caffeine number.
A large serving is a safety consideration
The FDA cites 400 mg caffeine per day as an amount not generally associated with negative effects for most adults, while emphasizing substantial individual variation. It is not a recommended target or a guarantee of safety. This displayed full scoop alone exceeds that reference amount.
Do not treat a high tolerance, an enthusiastic review or a smaller scoop as proof that this formula is appropriate for you. The manufacturer warns about potency; the panel also identifies milk and soy allergens. Review the complete package warnings with a qualified clinician if medications or health conditions are relevant.
Keep the comparison version-specific
Save the edition name, flavor and label when comparing Hooligan with another product. Do not borrow doses from V6, special editions or an upcoming release.
