NOXygen is a Purus Labs supplement name. It should not be redefined as generic shorthand for oxygenation. The name covers several products, so advice about caffeine, creatine or serving size needs to identify which container is being discussed.
The original unflavored powder
Purus describes NOXygen Powder as a stimulant-free pre-workout accelerator. The manufacturer label examined lists 40 servings, with one scoop weighing 2.8 g. Each scoop provides 1,500 mg HydroMax glycerol material, standardized to at least 65% glycerol, and a 740 mg NOXygen blend containing sodium nitrate and betaine nitrate. It also lists 150 mg sodium.
Two details matter when comparing it with other supplements. First, 1,500 mg of a standardized glycerol ingredient is not automatically 1,500 mg of pure glycerol. Second, the 740 mg blend weight does not disclose the separate nitrate salts’ amounts or equal 740 mg of nitrate ion. The product cannot be accurately compared by treating those numbers as interchangeable.
Black and RTD are different formulas
NOXygen Black is a separate stimulant-free powder that includes creatine monohydrate. Purus lists 5 g creatine and 3.2 g HydroMax material per serving on its current page. Do not assign those quantities to the original 2.8 g powder scoop.
NOXygen RTD is a ready-to-drink formula. Its manufacturer panel lists 200 mg caffeine per 12-ounce bottle, alongside other ingredients. The shared NOXygen name therefore does not mean that every version is stimulant-free. Capsules and other liquid formats also require separate label checks.
What the pump claims do not establish
A product name or blood-flow claim does not establish that a supplement treats low oxygen, prevents breathlessness, or reliably improves recovery. It is a dietary supplement, not oxygen therapy. The NIH evidence review explains why research on individual ingredients does not automatically prove a finished combination’s benefits.
Purus’s original-powder directions describe adding one or two servings to a beverage before exercise. Read the actual tub’s warnings before use. Stimulant-free does not mean interaction-free: the FDA recommends discussing supplements with a health professional, particularly when taking medicines or other supplements.
